Privacy Policy
Effective August 2026
The demos don't collect anything, and they don't use AI — they replay a scripted result over a made-up sample. No account, no cookies, no tracking pixel, no file uploads. My web host records that a page was requested, the way every web server does. If you email me, I keep your address so I can reply. That's the whole list.
Who runs this site
Malik Carey, an independent software developer based in Cleveland, Ohio. You can reach me at malik@malikbuilds.co.
What the demos collect: nothing
Every demo on this site runs entirely inside your web browser. When you tap through an inspection and it generates a record, that record is created on your own phone or computer and never leaves it. It is not sent anywhere, not saved anywhere, and it disappears the moment you close the tab.
There is no database behind these pages. There is no login. There is nowhere for your information to go, because the pages don't send anything anywhere.
No cookies, no scripts, no tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics scripts. It loads nothing from any other company's servers — no fonts, no scripts, no images from elsewhere. Nothing follows you to another website.
The one thing I do see: my web host counts how many times each page was requested, the same way any web server writes a log line. That happens on the server, not in your browser, and it tells me that a page was viewed — not who you are, and not what you did on it. I use it to know which trades are actually looking. There is no way for me to connect it to you.
The only links that leave this site are links to government websites — OSHA, the Ohio Administrative Code, the federal eCFR — so you can read a regulation for yourself instead of taking my word for it. Those are normal links. I don't get told whether you clicked them.
Artificial intelligence — where it is and isn't
The demos on this site do not use AI. Nothing on this page calls a model, an API, or any service. When a demo appears to read a document or sort an inbox, it is replaying a scripted result over a fixed made-up sample. Every demo says so on its own page. Your device does the animating; nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is analysed.
The tools I build for customers do use AI — that is the point of them. If we work together, that gets written into our agreement before anything is built: which model provider processes your documents, what is sent to them, how long it is kept, and whether it can be used for training. My default is that it cannot. You will not learn any of this from a privacy policy after the fact; you will agree to it in writing first.
Who else touches this site
Two companies, and only in the ordinary way any website works:
- Netlify hosts the files and serves the pages. Like any web host, its servers record that a page was requested — the page, the time, a rough location, the browser type. That is a server log, not a profile.
- Namecheap handles the email for this domain, so it processes messages you send me the same way any mail provider does.
There is nobody else. No advertising network, no data broker, no analytics company, no social pixel, no chat widget, no CRM tracking script. If that list ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
Uploads and deletion
There is nothing to upload. The site has no file picker, no form and no account, so no file of yours is ever stored — there is nothing for me to keep or delete. If you email me something, it lives in my mailbox and you can ask me to delete it at any time.
If I emailed you first
If you received a cold email from me, here is exactly how that happened, with nothing left out:
- Where your address came from: public professional licensing registries and public business directories — for example the Ohio eLicense system, the Ohio Department of Agriculture's applicator search, or a company's own published contact page.
- What I have: a business email address, a business name, and usually a city. Nothing personal, nothing bought from a data broker.
- What I do with it: send you one email and at most one follow-up. Nothing else.
- What I never do: sell it, rent it, share it, or add it to anybody else's list.
- Tracking: my emails contain no open-tracking pixels. I can see whether you replied. I cannot see whether you opened it.
How to make it stop
Reply with STOP, or the word "remove", or honestly anything that makes it clear you're not interested. I'll take you off permanently and you won't hear from me again. You don't have to explain and you don't have to be polite about it.
You can also email malik@malikbuilds.co and ask me to delete everything I have about you. I'll do it and confirm.
If you email me
I keep your email address and our conversation so I can reply and remember what we discussed. If you send me details about how your business works, I use that to build or improve a tool for you — not to share with anyone else. I don't sell any of it.
Children
This site is for businesses. It isn't directed at children and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. Since I don't have accounts or a mailing list, the current version here is always the one that applies.
Plain-language note: this policy is written to be readable rather than to sound like a contract, and it describes exactly what this site actually does. It isn't legal advice. If you're relying on it for your own compliance, have your own counsel look at it.
